Tahquamenon Falls State Park
No trip to Paradise is complete without a visit to Tahquamenon Falls State Park. One of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi, the Upper Falls has a drop of nearly 50 feet and is more than 200 feet across. Four miles downstream is the Lower Falls, a series of five smaller falls cascading around an island. Winter offers opportunities for snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing, with many miles of marked trails. Located just a short drive southwest of Paradise, adding a visit to Tahquamenon Falls State Park to enjoy its many features and attractions couldn’t be easier.
How to Get There: From Paradise, head northwest on M-123 S and drive 13.9 miles, at the visitor center sign turn left and drive .3 miles. Totals 17 minutes. View driving directions here.
